Relapse Prevention & Care

Relapse Happens and We Can Help

Kind Recovery provides relapse prevention and care through any of our telehealth counseling and individual counseling services. Relapse is a common issue in recovery affecting as may as 85% of those seeking recovery in their first year. What do you do if you relapse? Well, that depends on numerous factors such as how long the relapse has continued, what kind of supports you have in place, and whether or not there are any complicating medical and/or psychological factors.

That being said, for many who have already completed primary treatment and are seeking to treat relapse, you don’t have to start over at square one. The time and effort you’ve put into recovery counts for something, and relapse can be seen as a sign that there might be vulnerabilities in your approach rather than evidence you are failing. Recovery is just hard, and it’s very common to need to make adjustments along the way.

We specialize in developing relapse care plans that can help you get back on track quickly and maintain your recovery over time. Unlike other treatment programs, we do not require you to have completed primary treatment with us in order to receive relapse care.

Relapse Prevention

The greatest predictor of long-term success is continued participation in treatment for the first 12-18 months of recovery. For many, this participation comes in the form of 12-step groups or their primary treatment facility’s aftercare program. These are great options that we support. For those without these resources, we offer ongoing individual counseling and group therapy to help you stay engaged in the recovery process. We’re here to assist you in continuing to grow through your recovery, offer accountability, community, and guidance. The threat of relapse is real and shouldn’t be left to chance. Let’s come together and make a plan that works for your unique needs.
