We’re located at the intersection of Prince & Milledge near downtown Athens, GA.
Personalized attention, customizable treatment. Every recovering person’s journey is unique.
It can be incredibly painful and discouraging for clients to feel they are not being seen or feel they must fit perfectly with the “addict” label in order to receive services. In fact, this is a common source for treatment drop out and relapse. We understand that each recovering individual has a different relationship to themselves, to the substance they misuse, and to their environment. At Kind Recovery, we don’t take short cuts to understanding you as an individual. Sure, there are commonalities among those with substance use disorders, but what works is custom tailored treatment rooted in a deep understanding of the recovering person. Be assured that we will never overload our schedule or our groups. We want to know you, your story, and for you to trust that the services you receive are respectful, individual, and uniquely designed to suit your needs and goals for the future.
Outpatient Treatment
We offer an ASAM level 1.0 Outpatient Program (OP) which means 9 or fewer weekly treatment hours. Our outpatient treatment program is meant to fill the gap between individual counseling and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) that require 9-20 hours of treatment per week. We are committed to keeping our treatment classes small so that each client receives individualized attention. We’re grounded in the philosophy that there are many paths (abstinence, medication-assisted treatment, moderation) to recovery and provide you with expert consultation to help determine the right path for you.
Our Outpatient Program (OP) is customizable to your needs. Some may only need a group and individual therapy session a week. Others may need multiple individual and group sessions. Both the intensity and length of treatment is something we will agree on together and can always be adapted.
To get started with outpatient care, schedule a 60-minute, telehealth assessment. During your assessment session, we’ll review your history, symptoms, strengths, and goals for treatment. We’ll agree on a strategy to achieve those goals and connect you with any external resources you may need. The Assessment fee is $125.
